The Wellington Regional Action Plan for for Refugee Health and Wellbeing came out of a collaboration of refugee-background comunities, NGOs and government agencies. They identified the services needed to support refugees to resettle successfully in the Wellington region.
There are six key areas covered in the Action Plan - community capacity building, living well, economic wellbeing, safety and security, housing, and knowledge and skills. Each of these areas has a lead agency responsible for developing detailed plans for each action. The Action Plan is updated each year as actions are completed and new actions added.
